Good package deals, but date changes?

Has anyone else booked a theater and hotel package with Ticketpipe? I was looking at some opera tickets and found a pretty good deal for a London stay that included the show. The price was already discounted, so no code needed which was convenient. My only minor concern is that I couldn't easily find information about changing dates if something came up. I know some other sites like London Theatre Direct or Travelzoo are more transparent about that, so it would be great if Ticketpipe made it clearer upfront.

Great value for a first-timer

This was my first time booking a theater break, and I was looking for the best deal. I got a rail and show bundle for 'Les Misérables'. The price was much better than if I'd bought the train and theater ticket separately. I found a great offer on a weekend break. All the details for the train and e-tickets for the show were sent promptly. It definitely felt like I got good bang for my buck without compromising on a good seat or train journey. I'll check them first next time I want to go to London.

Smooth booking, clear information

I decided to try a midweek valuebreak for a London play. I selected 'The Mousetrap' with a hotel stay. The website navigation was straightforward; I could easily see different dates and package options. After booking, I received a confirmation email detailing the hotel reservation and how the theater tickets would be delivered. The tickets were electronic, sent to my inbox about a week before the show date. Both the hotel voucher and e-tickets worked without any issues. The package price was quite competitive for what was included, and it saved me a fair bit of time planning. Customer service wasn't needed, which I always take as a good sign.

Easy way to see a show

I needed tickets for a West End musical and found Ticketpipe. I picked a 'Lion King' package with a hotel. It was really straightforward, just a few clicks to book it all. My e-tickets came through just as they said they would. No fuss at all when I got to the theater or the hotel. It made planning a quick trip super easy, which is exactly what I wanted.

Good deal, delivered as promised

Booked a 'Mamma Mia!' evening show ticket with dinner. Price was good. Received e-tickets and restaurant voucher by email. Everything worked fine. Happy with the experience.

Good package, minor delivery hiccup

I booked a theater and hotel package for 'Hamilton' through Ticketpipe. The overall value was pretty solid, especially compared to piecing it together myself. The hotel they picked was decent, nothing fancy, but clean and well-located. Tickets arrived via email a few days before the show, which was good. My only small gripe was the initial confirmation email took longer than I expected to come through after payment, which made me a little antsy. Everything worked out fine in the end, though.

Fantastic dinner and show!

Oh my goodness, I just had the best time with the dinner and show package from Ticketpipe! I saw 'Wicked' and the seats were amazing. The restaurant they included was really lovely too, a great pre-theater meal. It was so easy to book, and everything was just perfect. I'm already planning my next trip and will definitely use them again. I've told all my friends to check them out!

What happens if a show gets cancelled after I've booked a whole package? Do I just lose my money for the hotel and train too?

J Jared 1 month ago
If the show cancels, they usually offer alternatives or a refund. I'm pretty sure that would cover the whole package, not just the show part, but you'd have to confirm with them.

They have a policy for cancellations. You'd typically get a refund or the option to rebook. It applies to the whole bundle if the show is the main reason for the trip, afaik.

Any hidden fees with these guys? I hate getting to checkout and seeing a bunch of extra charges.

K Kate F. 1 month ago
I haven't encountered any surprise fees. The price you see is usually what you pay, unless you add something extra.

Nah, I've always found their pricing to be pretty upfront. What's shown in the bundle price is what it costs. No booking fees usually for the packages either.

Are the tickets you get from here proper West End tickets? Like, straight from the theater, or some kind of reseller tickets?

S Sarah Kaur 2 months ago
They're a legitimate agency, so you get official tickets. No dodgy grey market stuff.

Yeah, they sell actual West End tickets. They're a STAR member too, so pretty reputable for theater stuff.

Can you use discount codes at all on this site? Or are all the savings just built into the package prices?

G Greg Ito 2 months ago
Most of the time the discounts are built-in, but sometimes they do have promo codes. Keep an eye out for seasonal sales or newsletters.

J Julia 2 months ago
They mostly do package deals where the discount is already applied. I've seen them have actual coupon codes occasionally, but it's not super common.

Has anyone had to change their booking date before? My plans might shift and I'm worried about losing out.

E Elena W. 1 month ago
I think it depends on the specific package. Some are more flexible than others. You'd probably need to check the fine print for your booking.

It's not always possible, or there might be a fee. I tried to change once for a non-refundable hotel and it was a no-go. Best to contact them directly if your dates aren't set in stone.
